Objective: To observe the curative effect of the Chinese medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema in the treatment of refractory cirrhosis ascites with azotemia. To observe the content of RASS and ANP in blood serum. To indicate the part mechanism of treatment of refractory cirrhosis ascites with azotemia. Methods: 60 cases were selected to take part in the randomized, placebo-controlled, double-mind trial. 60 patients were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. 30 cases of the treatment group were treated with basal therapy and the Chinese medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema. While 30 cases of the control group were treated with basal therapy, placebo-medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema. The symptoms , the rate of Hepatorenal syndrome, liver function and kidney function were observed. The portal vein blood flow was measured with color Doppler. The content ofthe RAAS and the ANP in blood serum were detected. Results: The patients of both groups were improved . The total effective rate of the treatment group and control group was 86.67%, 46.67% respectively. The PVD PVQ SVD SVQ were significant difference in the treatment group before and after, while those of the control group were not obviously improved ( P > 0. 05). The liver function and kidney were improved in both treatment group and control group . There was no significant difference of the kidney function in the control group while significant difference (P<0.05) before and after the treatment in the treatment group. The content of the RAAS and the ANP in the blood serumwere reduce significantly in the treatment group. Conclusion: l.The Chinese medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema had remarkable effect on the refractory cirrhosis ascites, wich was better than that of the simply basal treatment.2. The Chinese medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema decreased the blood flow of the portal vein of the treatment group remarkably. 3. The Chinese medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema reduced the content of the RAAS and the ANP in blood serum.4.The probable mechanism of treatment of the Chinese medicine paved on the umbilicus and enema is reduce the content of the RAAS and the ANP in blood serum.
