Objective:To observe the efficiency and safety of anticoagulation therapy by combination of herbs with effects of activating blood circulation and dispersing stasis and warfarin sodium in chronic atrial fibrillation in Chinese. The study is used to evaluate the benefit and risk of the treatment primarily considering the situation of our country.Methods:Fifty patients with chronic atrial fibrillation were divided into treating group which were given activating blood circulation and dispersing stasis and warfarin sodium and contrasting group which were treated with the method of dissipating Phlegm and warfarin sodium. The period of treatment was four weeks. The patients were followed Up and INRs were measured regularly. Its aim-time, dosage, range of INR, and side-effect were observed. Observing the symptoms, signs, total effective ratios before and after the treatment, making a statistical disposal and comparing the curative effects analyzing the relationship between risk for hemorrhage or thromboembolism.
