Clinical Observation On Atherosclerotic Diseases By The Therapy Of Heat-clearing And Detoxification, Promoting Blood Circulation To Remove Meridian Obstruction

Objective: To observe the short-term clinical therapeutic effect of the therapy of heat-clearing and detoxification, promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction(Mai-luo-ning injection) on atherosclerotic diseases (acute coronary syndrome and acute cerebral arterial thrombosis);To analyze the clinical mechanism of its intervention on the atherosclerotic diseases;To discuss the mechanism of its intervention on stabilizing atherosclerotic plaque;To further demonstrate the significance of homotherapy for heteropathy based on the clinical therapeutic effect on atherosclerotic diseases reflected by integral for syndromes of TCM(traditional Chinese medicine).Methods: 52 patients of ACS(acute coronary syndrome) were divided randomly into treatment group(30 cases) and control group(22 cases);44 patients of acute cerebral arterial thrombosis were divided randomly into treatment group(23 cases) and control group(21 cases), all of which were diagnosed as heat and blood-stasis syndrome. Routine western medical therapy was given to both groups. At the same time, 20ml of Mai-luo-ning injection was dissolved into 0. 9% NS 250ml in the treatment group once a day for two weeks. The changes of clinical symptoms and the results from the lab tests were observed before and after treatment.Results:(1) ACS: In the treatment group, the level of CRP, IL-6, TNF-α and all the indexs of blood rheology fell significantly after the treatment with significant difference compared to those of the control group(P<0.01 or P<0. 05);The level of TC, TG, LDL-C fell while the counterpart of HDL-C rose after the treatment with no significance compared to those of the control group (P>0. 05);In the treatment group, the clinical therapeutic effect of TCM and modern medicine in terms of relieving the main symptoms were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0. 05).(2) Acute cerebral arterial thrombosis: In the treatment group, the level of MMP-9, CRP, IL-6, TNF- a and all the indexs of blood rheology fell significantly after the treatment with significant difference compared to those of the control group(P<0. 01 or P<0. 05);The level of TC and TG fell while the counterpart of HDL-C rose after the treatment with no significance compared to those of the control group(P>0. 05), the level of LDL-C fell but with significant difference compared to those of the control group(P<0. 01);In the treatment group, the clinical therapeutic effect of TCM and modern medicine in terms of relieving the main symptoms were significantly better than those of the control group(P<0. 05).Conclusion: The concerning test results(the clinical therapeutic effect, blood rheology) shows the therapy plays a good role in the treatment of the atherosclerotic diseases;Short-term clinical application of the therapy is significantly effective to stabilize the atherosclerotic plaque by inhibiting the inflammatory factors (CRP, IL-6, TNF-a, MMP-9), but cannot regulate the blood-fat metabolism.
