Objective: To observe the toxicity and therapeutic efficacy of Litsea Cubeba oil treating experimental mouse infected by Cryptococcus neoformans with intragastric administration, which is evaluated by the internationally accepted criteria, including survival rate and clonal formation unit count in lung and kidney, to evaluated the feasibility of clinical use and provide initial evidence for clinical use of Litsea Cubeba oil. Methods: 1. Acute toxicity test: twenty-five Kunming mice were randomized into five groups and there were five mice in one group. All mice were female and weight eighteen to twenty-two gramme, clear and healthy. The five groups were gived Litsea Cubeba oil intragastric administration therapy the same time, the dose was 800mg/kg, 1600mg/kg, 2400mg/kg, 3200mg/kg, 4000mg/kg, respectively. Observing the reaction and fatality of all the mice for 7 days. Calculating the lethal dose of 50% mice to be die (LD50) and dissecting the died mice. 2. The founding of experimental mouse model infected by Cryptococcus neoformans: twenty Kunming mice were randomized into two groups, which were female and weighed...
