Objective: This study was designed to in the Tibet area dry eyesituation and cause of disease through the epidemiological survey。method : From March 1 2005 to july 30 2005, the Tibet Lhasaand the Linzhis two areas 680 exampes 40-80 year old of normalcrowd were chosen,the prorption of two places samples race,the sexand the occupation constitution are more consistent ,All samples erecarried on the questionnaire survey and on the examinations of SLt,BUT, the FL,it's analyzed on statistics processing to it'sresult,between two regions,the sex,Tibet nationality and Hannationality differences.Result: The dry eye prevalence rate is 19.26﹪in the Tibet40-80 year old of crowd, the prevalence rate increases along with theage but assumes the trend of escalation.it's obviously increase for theage above 60 years old.There are the remarkable difference in theLhasa and the Linzhis two places (p﹤0.05) ,AS so as the male andfemale two groups(p﹤0.01),There are no statistically significantdifference among the Tibet nationality and Han nationality(p﹥0.05),it's universally existed the common disease. The frequency ofthe dry eye symptom lowly appeared, There are more the dry eye ofexcessived evaporation.
