| Object:To observe the variation of the concentrations of the urinary aquaporin-2(u-AQP2) in the patients with essential hypertension (EH) in different plasma renin activity (PRA) level and discuss the effects of AQP2 in the pathogenesis of EH.Methods: According to PRA,145 patients wth EH were divided into three groups, including low renin essential hypertension group(LREH), normal renin essential hypertension group(NREH), high renin essential hypertension group(HREH), and the patients were divided into three subgroups by the blood pressure grades in every group—the grade 1 hypertension subgroup, the grade 2 hypertension subgroup, the grade 3 hypertension subgroup. These patients were compared against 30 normal control subjects. In all subjects, the concentrations of U-AQP2 were detected by indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (indirect ELISA), the concentrations of plasma arginine vasopressin (p-AVP) were detected by radioimmunoassay (RIA), and the mean arterial pressure (MAP) was measured. The relationship among u- AQP2, p-AVP and MAP was analysed. Results: 1. The concentrations of U-AQP2 (P<0.01) and p-AVP (P<0.01) in the patients with LREH were higher than that in control subjects and the patients with NREH and HREH. The concentrations of U-AQP2 and p-AVP in the patients in the three different subgroups with LREH were higher than that in control subjects and the patients with NREH and HREH in the same blood pressure grade (P<0.05) , that increased along with the blood pressure grade (P<0.05) . It had positive correlation among U-AQP2, p-AVP... |
