Objective: To study the effect on personality, psychological health and sexual performances in phimosis patients and those after circumcision. Meanwhile, to explore whether the phimosis patients need circumcised and when is the proper time to perform the operation.Methods Subjects The phimosis group:①Adolescents phimosis group: 37cases from Dalian Children's Hospital were followed up since Jan,2005 to Jan,2006, age between 13 and 16 with a mean of 14.95±1.104.②Adults phimosis group: 37 cases married from the outpatient department of Local Women and Children's Health Center were followed up since Jan,2005 to Jan,2006, age between 25 and 40 with a mean of 32.75±3.585. The control group:①Adolescents control group: 37 cases were the male classmates of adolescents phimosis group's with the same age.④Adults of control group were married male colleagues of adults phimosis group's with the same age. Methods They were all investigated with self made general questionnaire, Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Zung Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), Personality Questionnaire (EPQ).
