Objective: 1. To describe the current prevalence of alcohol use disorder (AUD) and distribution in Liaoning province.2. To describe the risk factors of AUD.3. To calculate the burden of AUD in Liaoning province using DALY (Disability-Adjusted Life Years). Methods:Stratified multi-stage cluster randomization was used to sample 15516 subjects of 18-65 years in 3 cities and 3 countries. The interviewers conducted a face-to-face interview to diagnose AUDs by CIDI (Composite International Diagnostic Interview) according to DSM-III-R (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-3rd Edition Revised) and ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases-10th Edition) criteria at the respondent's home. Logistic regression analysis was used to describe the relationship between prevalence of AUD and demographic variables.Calculated DALY of AUD with the prevalence derived from the survey and the mortality provided by Liaoning provincial center for disease control and prevention (LNCDC) according to the method of GBD (Global Burden of Disease). Results: 1. 13359 interviewees completed the interview and respond rate was 86.09%.2. Lifetime prevalence of AUD in Liaoning province was 4.24%, its standardized prevalence was 3.73% on DSM-IIIR criteria. 3.The prevalence of AUD was significantly higher in male than female, and in smokers than non-smokers; Relative risks of AUD increased following age for people less than 45, and met its peak for people aged between 35-44,...
