| Objective:Retinal light scathe was caused by excessive exposing in light.normal cornea and crystalline humor can filtered part of light, in order to protect retina. Along with the increase of age , retina's power of resistance to light scathe decreased .with acrystalline humor becoming yellow,it could filtered the harmful blue light and protect the retina better.nowadays UV-absorption lens were always used in the operations to cure cataract,which could been penetrated by any kind of visible light.according to it,retina would been harmed more seriously postoperion.then blue-blocking lens were invented.compared with UV-absorption lens,the best advantage of blue-blocking lens was that it could filterd blue light harmful to our retina. In this work, two kinds of intraocular lens, blue-blocking lens and UV-absorption lens, respectively, were compared the difference in protecting retinal light scathe. And The light microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and the content of MDA were be measured.Method:Twenty rabbits were divided into experimental and control groups. They were implanted intraocular lens by ultrasonic phacoemulsifier . blue-blocking lens were implanted in experimental group; however, UV-absorption lens were implanted in control group. Postoperatively both groups were irradiated by blue light after inflammatory reaction had disappeared. Before irradiation,all rabbits were breeded in the dark room for 3 days. Later they were sent into polyethylene boxes and irradiated by 500lux blue light . irradiation was been turned on from 8am to 8pm,then turned off.
