Ovarian cancer has the highest mortality rate of all gynecologic malignancies. Due to high acquired resistance to chemotherapy during the course of treatment, the use of chemotherapy has been limited. Therefore, new adjunctive therapy is of great importance.Genistein is an isoflavone, existing in soy. These days, genistein attracts more and more attention with its remarkable effect on tumor. And genistein has shown antitumor activities in breast cancer, prostate cancer and colon cancer, and so on. At present the research about genistein on ovarian cancer in vivo is few. The objective of our experiment is to investigate the effect the mechanism of genistein on ovarian cancer. In our experiment, we erected the model of transplanted ovarian cancer line HO-8910PM in nude mice and research the effect and the mechanism of genistein on ovarian cancer. In addition we research the function and mechanism of genistein combined with cisplatin therapy on subcutaneously implanted tumor induced by human ovarian cancer cell in nude mice. We divided our research work into two parts. 1. The erecting of model of transplanted ovarian cancer cell and the effect and the mechanism of genistein on the model.
