Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy( HIE ) was a disorder of cerebral trauma in perinatal neonates. The survival of HIE had neuronal sequela, the important one of which is sensorineural deafness. Hypoxia-ischemia (HI) is the very important factor that affects hearing growth and leads to deafness by hurting hair cells of cochlea. But for now, there is lack for effective therapy.Domestic and international had reported that NO and NOS played an important role in cochlea damage course of HI newborn rats. Aminoguanidine(AG) was reported as a kind of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor .In some fields, there were some studies that AG might have effect on treating other diseases caused by HI.But not in hearing injury caused by HI . Based on this, to study the protective role of AG on cochlea injury in newborn rats of HI, this research was designed. Make HIE model in newborn, and use AG to intervene HI newborn rats . Then observe the auditory brainstem response (ABR) ,the content of NO in serum with ELISA reagent kit, the expression of iNOS and Caspase-3 with immunohistochemistry. Furthermore discuss the protective role of AG . The researcher hoped that this study must be benefit for the prevention and therapy of hearing injuried little child . Materials and Methods:1. One hundred and ninety two healthy 7 days old Wistar rats with positive preyer's...
