Objective: prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) is an effective vasodilating age nt. For a long time,PGE1 is apply to the treatment of pulmonary artery hypertension .With the development of clinical application and research, i t is gradually realized that PGE1 can inhibit platelet aggregation and thr ombogenesis, relax the smooth muscle of bronchus, inhibit the degranulat ion of macrophage and blood corpuscle, improve red blood cell deformat ion and has positive inotropic effect. We thought that PGE1 can inhibit system inflammatory reaction after cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and ed protect multiple organ and system. The aim of this test is to study the protective effect of PGE1 on myocardium during CPB and to explore th e possible mechanism of PGE1.Methods : 30 inpatients undergoing open heart surgery from May t o September in 2005 were divided into testing group and control group randomly, 15 patients in each group. The PGE1 is applicated in the testi ng group (Baodaxin production of The SCHWARZ drug factory in Germ eny) The level of CK-MB cTnI and IL-6 IL-8 were detected in two g roups before CPB (T1), 15 minute after patefaction of arteriae aorta and cardiopalmus reablement (T2), 2 hours (T3) and 6 hour (T4) after CPB. No other drugs of myocardial preservation were applied. Results There were no significant differences in the gengral date of the patients, aortic clamping time and by-pass time of CPB between the two...
