Objective: To observe the expression of matrixmetalloproteinase-7 in oral squamouscell carcinoma and the distribution of microvessel, then evaluate the role of MMP-7 in the invasion and metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC).Method: The expression of MMP-7, CD34 in 51cases of oral squamous cellcarcinoma and 10 cases of oral normal mucosa were examined by immunohistochemistry S-P method , Epi Info 6.0 software was used in creation of data file and statistical analyses were carried out with the SPSS10.0 software, the level of significance was set to P≤0.05.Result:1, xpression of MMP-7 could detected in oral squamous cell carcinoma, but hardly innormal oral mucosa.2, Expression of MMP-7 in OSCC has no relation with its position and size. But the expression in cases with low grade was significantly higher than in those with high grade.Expression of MMP-7 in the stage Ⅲ and Ⅳ was significantly higher than that in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ, and was significantly higher in the cases with cervical lymph node metastasis.3, Microvascular density in OSCC was significantly higher than that in normal oral mucosa. Microvascular density in OSCC was closely related with pathological grade ,...
