| Objective: To observe the expression of Interleukin-8 in tongue squamous cell carcinoma and the distribution of microvessel, then investigate the role of IL-8 in the development and progression of it and explore the relationship between IL-8 and angiogenesis, so as to provide theoretic foundation for prevention, clinic diagnosis and therapy of TSCC.Method: The expression of IL-8, CD34 in 60cases of tongue squamous cell carcinoma and 10 cases of tongue normal mucosa were examined by immunohistochemistry S-P method, Statistical analyses were carried out with the SPSS11.0 software, the level of significance was set to P<0.05.Result:1. Expression of IL-8 could detected in tongue squamous cell carcinoma, but hardly in normal tongue mucosa.2. Expression of IL-8 in TSCC has no relation with it's size, old, sex and histological grade. But the expression in cases with stage â…¢ and â…£ was significantly higher than that in stage â… and â…¡, and was significantly higher in the cases with cervical lymph node metastasis.3. Density of microvessel in TSCC was significantly higher than that in normal tongue mucosa. Intratumoral microvascular density in TSCC was closely related with differentiation degree, clinical state, tumor size and lymph node metastasis, while have no relation with old and sex. |
