Objective: To investigate the inhibitive and apoptotic effects of Soybean Isoflavones on human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cell line.Methods: Treated by Soybean Isoflavones or/and cisplatin on human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells, were observed by inverted microscopy,and HE staining. The cytotoxi-city was measured by MTT assay ,the apoptosis by TUNEL .Results: Soybean Isoflavones can inhibit the grow and proliferation of lung carcinoma cells, these changes were associated with the concentration of Soybean Isoflavones,the inhibitive rate could be improved along with the Soybean Isoflavones concentration increased. There was significant difference in inhibitive rate in different treatment groups (P<0.01). There was not significant difference in apoptotic rate between the treatment groups and the negative control group(P>0.05). There was significant difference in inhibitive rate and apoptotic rate between treated by Soybean Isoflavones and cisplatin alone and treated by Soybean Isoflavones plus cisplatin on human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells(P<0.01).Conclusion: Soybean Isoflavones can inhibit the grow and proliferation of human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cell ,but apoptosis was not significant.Treated by Soybean Isoflavones plus cisplatin on human lung adenocarcinoma A549 cells, inhibitive rate and apoptotic rate were enhanced greatly.
