Change Of Serum The Peak LH,IGF-1 And Leptin Levels In Girls With Idiopathic Central Precocious Puberty

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: With the development of the economy, more and more people pay close attention to the healthy growth of the youngsters. Precocious puberty is followed with interest. The cause of precocious puberty is very complicated. The incidence rate of idiopathic central precocious puberty ( ICPP) is the highest, most of them are girlso The rising of gonadgl hormone can cause skeleton growing faster.. Epiphyses closed early lead to the dwarf of adult. So it is very important to diagnose and treat the ICPP in early period. Gomadotropin-release hormone antagonist (GnRHa) has been used to treat ICPP since 1980s. It was testified to be effective. We compared the serum level of the peak LH, IGF-1 and leptin in the ICPP group with them in the SPT group and normal girls. Then we observed these parameters during the treatment. The purpose of the study is to find out the episode machanis of ICPP, and offer some information in inclinical diagnosis and treat early.METHODS: The peak LH, IGF-1 and leptin levels in serum were measured in 16 girls with SPT, 20 normal girls and 21 girls with ICPP before and after GnRHa treatment,respectively. During the period of treatment, the clinical parameters including bone age (BA) , bone age/chronologic age (BA/CA),growth velocity (GV) , predited adult height( PAH), body mass index (BMI) were documented. The interrelation between IGF-1 and the paek LH level in ICPP girls before therapy , as well as leptin level and BMI, leptin and IGF-1 level ,were investigated at the same time.All calculation were performed with SPSS 11.0.
