| Objective:To explore the etiology ,pathogenesis and the laws of treatment for menorrhagia after women having inseted intrauterine device.Methods: We selected traditional Chinese medicine journals and books, and we used computer technology and statistics.Results: With computer technology,a database of etiology and pathogenesis was founded.At the same time,79 formulas were gathered from traditional Chinese medicine journals and books used for treating the disease in purpose to offer some useful treatments for Menorrhagia after inset IUD.A database of the formulas and medicine was founded with computer technology.Further more,the frequency of herbs was analyzed by statistic method.Besides this the most frequently used herbs were selected too.Conclusion:Fever due to blood stasis is the major etiology and pathogenesis.Promoting blood flow and removing heat is the basic treatment.
