| Background and Objective: Myocardial hypertrophy is a common pathological response to clinical disease, such as hypertension﹑Valvular heart disease﹑acute myocardium infarction and congenital heart disease , also it is an independent risk factor in predicting the prognosis of cardiovascular diseases. When hypertension-induced myocardial hypertrophy occur, it will follow that: the phenotype change﹑the size augmentation and the type of spectrin alteration of cardiomyocyte; the cardiac sarcoplast and fibra proliferation﹑a great quantity of collagen and cellulose production, and the myocardial architecture derangement﹑compliance declination﹑ oxygen consumption increase; meanwhile, cardiomyocyte apoptosis increase, all these will impair contractile ability and then reduce required ejection effectiveness. Accordingly cardiac insufficiency is induced. There are three successive processes in molecular level that contribute to myocardial hypertrophy: the extra cellular hypertrophic signal stimulating, intracellular signal transducting and intra... |
