Objective and background : To evaluate biodistribution of 131I-2F7 monoclonal antibody by targeting 2F7 antigen, that was expressed on SCLC cell in BALB/C nude mice model. And observe the anti-tumor effect of 131I-2F7 monoclonal antibody on BALB/C nude mice model.Small cell lung cancer represents approximately 10~25 % of all cases of lung cancer. SCLC has a more rapid doubling time, higher growth fraction, and earlier development of widespread metastases. Approximately 67% of patients with SCLC present with overt, metastasized disease outside the chest, SCLC is considered highly sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy; however, most patients eventually develop recurrent disease. Therefore, treatment strategy of SCLC focuses on systemic therapy.Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) is a technique which utilizes the Mab of radiation by delivering radioactive isotopes to target the tumor cells. RIT had demonstrated significant clinical efficacy. Radioisotopes such as iodine-131, which areβemitters, can cause damage not only to the bound cell but also to cells adjacent to tumor cells that antibodies may not be able to reach within the tumors. Due to the limited range of particles this radiation does not penetrate into the healthy tissue cells beyond the tumor. RIT reduced toxic effect and improved therapy effect. In this study, we observed the anti-tumor effect of 131I-2F7 monoclonal...
