Chapter one Experiment Study of neuronal apoptosis and p53 protein expression in hippocampalarea of the rats with kainic acid-induced epilepsy ObjectiveTo establish animal model of temporal epilepsy in Spraque-Dawley(SD) rat and research the changes of praxiologh and electroencephalogram(EEG) in different time of temporal epilepsy; To study neuronal apoptosis and p53 protein expression in hippocampal area and discuss the relationship of each other. Materials and methods55 male SD rats were divided into 2 groups including saline group and kainic acid group, saline (10uL)was injected in lateral ventricle of the saline operating rats, and kainic acid(2.5ug) was performed in the epilepsy rats. The changes of neuronal apoptosis and p53 protein expression in hippocampal area were studied in different time after treatment and rats were killed at 2h,24h,3d,5d and 7d. The TUNEL technique and immunohistochemistry method were used to measure the neuronal apoptosis and expression of p53 protein. Correlation analysis was done...
