Viral myocarditis (VMC), as a common heart diseases induced by viral infection, has great difference in manifestations from symptomless to heart failure, sudden death, etc. depending on such factors as types of infected virus, host gene property, the degree and sites of the affection, external environment, etc., among which sudden death is mostly seen in children, adolescents, sportsman, etc., without obvious prophase symptoms of viral infection. Sudden death (SD) refers to the unexpected natural death in seemingly healthy persons, or persons having unclear symptoms, or persons in steady pathogenetic condition due to potential organic disease or sudden changed function. The death is generally happen within 24 hrs, even within 1 hr, which is the commonly seen phenomenon in clinics and autopsy by coroner. Since the morbidity of VMC, as the heart disease induced by viral infection, in children and adolescents shows increasing tendency year by year, VMC has become an important reason for the sudden death in children and adolescents. So study on sudden death caused by VMC has aroused great attention. Some achievements in aspect of the etiological location, pathomorphology and myocarditic treatment have been obtained. But the pathogenesis of myocarditis and myocarditis induced sudden death has not been clearly explained yet. The abnormality in ion channels such as sodium,...
