Background:Today ischemic stroke is one of the principal diseases that do harm to people's health seriously. It has been rising up gradually in our country. So it becomes a hot topic to study the pathophysiologic mechanisms of ischemic stroke and search for efficient way to therapy it. Cytokines, especially, PDGF-BB and TGF-β1, have been paid attention to their effects of lessening the injury of ischemia-reperfusion in recent years.Recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO), as a acid glycoprotein, had been regarded as a body fluid factor concerning promoting proliferation and differentiation of the blood ancestral cell. It has been used to therapy renal anemia and non-renal anemia. But more and more research suggested that rhEPO should protect the CNS from cerebral ischemia injury. The possible mechanism might include inhibiting the neurotoxicity of Glutaminic acid, increasing the interflow of calcium ion, attenuating cytokine production and inflammation, inhibiting NO synthesis, promoting the proliferation of horizontal cell and preventing apoptosis. Through the experiment we would observe the protective effect of rhEPO on the ischemic brain tissue and the influence on cytokineproduction which protect brain tissue. Purpose: 1. To investigate the expressive tendency of PDGF-BB and TGF-pi withimmunohistochemistry staining method in brain ischemia /reperfusion.
