CT scanning is applied in diagnosing disease more extensively and more frequently. As a result, the worldwide yearly effective dose is increased. Thus, people show more and more concern over image quality and radiation protection. Objective: To explore the reasonability and feasibility of scanning head, chest and abdomen with lowest dose by discussing influences of Multi-row spiral CT scanner on image quality and to choose the lowest scanning dose under the condition of guaranteeing the image quality.Materials and Methods: The fixed tube voltage : 120kv; Pitch: 1.375; thickness of slice: 10mm.1 CT homogeneity and noise were tested by water phantom: on the same slice, 80, 120, 160, 200, 240mAs were used to scan. On each image, 5 regions of interest at the same area were tested and their homogeneity and noise were compared.2 Test board for resolution was used to test the high spatial resolution and low spatial resolution under the condition of 80,120, 160, 200 and 300mAs.3 Cases of image scanning: 120 patients who undergoing head, chest, upper abdomen scanning were selected randomly. According to the scanning regions, they...
