ObjectiveMore and more evidences showed atherosclerosis (AS) correlated with inflammation. In March 2002, the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) of American and AHA (American Heart Association) hold a special proseminar on the topic of inflammation and cardiovascular diseases, which was named CDC/AHA Workshop on Inflammatory Markers and Cardiovascular Disease. After meeting a statement was released and it demonstrated that inflammation ran through the whole pathologic process of AS, including the initiation, enlargement, and complication of AS spot. Furthermore, the concept of "inflammatory cascade" was presented. At the same time, it also indicated inflammatory cascade might exist in the round of AS and at the condition of systemic inflammation and local infection et al. However, a series of clinical experiments confirmed the increase of inflammatory markers concerned cardiovascular and peripheral arterial diseases. Till present, the inflammatory markers in circular blood can not estimate the range of AS for advance. And there were still...
