In this paper, the pseudolatex dispersion of Polyacrylic ResinⅣ was developed with superior stability to the commercially available aqueous dispersion. And the powder of Polyacrylic ResinlV for coating was prepared to realize the domestic manufacture of the imported products. The pseudolatex dispersion of Polyacrylic ResinlV was prepared by emulsion solvent evaporation method using Poloxamer F127 as the stabilizer. The influence of formulation and processon on the stability index, the yield and particle size were evaluated. The appearance, density, pH, particle size, zeta potential and rheological properties of the dispersion were investigated. The pseudolatex was compatible with excipients and exhibited a good stability based on the long term testing. With an excellent stability to electrolytes, extreme temperature and pH change, the stabilization of this pseudolatex was attributed to the steric effects. Compared with the commercially available aqueous dispersion, the present pseudolatex could be used in wider condition. The micronized Polyacrylic ResinlV was prepared, which could be convert into dispersion for coating. The conversion was investigated and the converted rate was significantly influenced by the stirring rate, temperature, powder particle size, as well as surfactant and plasticizer amount. The microscopic appearances, particle size, specific viscosity of the powder were measured. The stress testing indicated that the powder was stable except it was agglomerated exposed to 60 ℃. The accelerated testing showed that the converted rate into dispersion was not changed despite the increased particle size of powder. The characteristics of the dispersion prepared by powder were studied, including the appearances, pH, particle size, zeta potential, rheological properties. The obtained dispersion exhibited a good compatibility with excipients but flocculated easily with electrolytes and pH changes. The conversion of powder into dispersion was interpreted and discussed theoretically. The powder of Polyacrylic ResinlV realized the domestic manufacture of the imported products (EPO).
