Objective: To study CT findings of prostate carcinoma, and compare with androgen acceptor expression and histopathology;try to investigate the correlationship between CT findings and androgen acceptor of prostate carcinoma,to provide imaging evidence for clinical treatment and prognosis of prostate carcinoma.Material and Method: 40 paraffins of prostate carcinoma from 1996 to 2005 were collected. Immunohistochemical method was usded to detect androgen receptors and pathological grading were carried out on the basis of pathological examination. CT examination were perfomed in 40 patients with prostate carcinoma who did not have any treatment. Androgen acceptor expression and CT findings, clinical stages, serum PSA levels were studied comprehensively. Results: Androgen receptors of 10 prostate carcinoma patients expressed negative in 40 patients, 30 positive, 25% and 75% respectively, which 5 strongly positive, accounting for 12.5%.Pathological grade of 40 patient specimens was that 4 cases were Gleason 2-4 scores, 16 cases were Gleason 5-7 scores,20 cases were Gleason 8-10 scores. Androgen receptors expression had a significant differences (P < 0.05) in prostate carcinoma organizations of different pathological grade, in which positive expression of Gleason 2-4 scores was 100%, Gleason 5-7 scores was 87%, Gleason 8-10 scores was 60%. Serum PSA levels in prostate carcinoma of different pathological grade were 10.9±6.0ng/ml, 57.0 ± 41.7 ng/ml, 159.3±110.7 ng/ml respectively; to use Spearman rank correlation, r= 0.567 , P= 0.001 < 0.05. Serum PSA levels was 73.8 ±78.9 ng/ml in prostate carcinoma which androgen receptors expressed positive it was 192.7±107.2 ng/ml in prostate carcinoma which androgen receptors expressed negative ; to use Spearman rank correlation, r= 0.542 , P= 0.0001 < 0.05.Prostate volume of 34 patients increased ;prostate carcinoma focus of 34 patients were low density or low and equivalent density, 6 cases...
