| This dissertation consists of two chapters. The first chapter reported the extraction and the identification of chemical constituents from the tubers of Ophiopogon japonicus, which is used as a traditional medicine in China. Forty-one compounds were isolated from the ethanol extract of the tubers of 0. japonicus, through repeating silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Among which, the structures of twenty-seven compounds, including four new homoiso-flavonoids, were identified by the spectroscopic and chemical evidences. Other 3 compounds was got from this plant for the first time. The 27 compounds were listed as below:(1)5,6,7-trihydroxy-3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)chromone(new)(2a)5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)chroman-4-one(new)(2b) 5,7-dihydroxy-6-methyl- 3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)chromone(4)5,7-dihydroxy-3-(2',6'-dihydroxy-4'-methoxybenzyl)chroman-4-one(new)(5a)5,7-dihydroxy-6,8-dimethyl-3-(3',4'-dihydroxybenzyl)chroman-4-one(new)(5b) 5, 7-dihydroxy-3-(4'-hydroxybenzyl)chromone(7a)5,7,2'-trihydroxy-6-methyl-8-methoxy-3(R)-(4'-methoxybenzyl)chroman-4-one(7b)5,7,2'-trihydroxy-6-methyl-8-methoxy-3(5)-(4'-methoxybenzyl)chroman-4-one(9a)5,7-dihydroxy-6,8-dimethyl-3(R)-(3'-methoxy-4'-hydroxybenzyl)chroman-4-one(9b)5,7-dihydroxy-6,8-dimethyl-3(S)-(3'-methoxy-4'-hydroxybenzyl)chroman-4-one... |
