Part I The Screening of TEL-AML1 Fusion Gene in Children withAcute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Objective:To determine the incidence of TEL-AML1 fusion gene in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL) and analyze the clinical features of TEL-AML1 positive patients. Method:Samples of bone marrow or peripheral blood of 56 newly diagnosed children with ALL were collected in our hospital from October, 2004 to January, 2006. The TEL-AML1 fusion gene was detected by the method of nested RT-PCR and further confirmed by the sequence analysis.
