Effect Of Tamoxifen Combined With Mifepristone On Fas,FasL Expression In Early Pregnancy Chorionic Villi

Object: To investigate the effect of tamoxifen combined with mifepristone on Fas ,FasL expression in early pregnancy chorionic villi. To find the possible mechanism of this scheme on shortening the duration of vaginal bleeding after medical abortion.Methods: Fifty women within 49 days of intrauterine gestation were divided into three groups. Tamoxifen 120mg combined with mifepristone 150mg was administered orally to the first group, followed by misoprostol 600μ g orally. Placebo combined with mifepristone 150mg was administered orally to the second group, followed by misoprostol 600μ g orally.The third group included those who selected vacuum aspiration. Chorionic villi were collected and expression of Fas and FasL were detected by immunohistochemical methods. Integrated optical density (IOD) of Fas and FasL were detected by using special image analysis software (image pro plus 4.5).Results: (1) IOD of Fas and FasL expression of mifepristone group and that of mifepristone and tamoxifen group were significantly higher than that of vacuum aspiration group(P < 0.05).
