The Effect Of Guchiwan On The Secretion Level Of Cytokine Of Human PDLC

Objective: Guchiwan is a kind of tranditional Chinese medication used for over a thousand years.The study is to investigate the effect of Guchiwan on the human periodontal ligament cells (HPDL) of the secretion level of Interleukin - 6 (IL-6) and Transforming growth factor β₁(TGF-β₁)in vitro, in order to detect into the therapeutic mechanism of Guchiwan and to provide a theoretical foundation of making a better use with natural medicine to cure periodontal diseases.Methods: We established periodontal ligament cells form the extracted premolar for orthodontic purposes.The study was consisited of two parts: (1) We studied the PDLCs on the 6th passage which were divided into four test groups at random. Blank control group only added DMEM;Other three drug groups added Guchiwan of different density. After 0, 6, 12 and 24 hours we gathered the culture medium separately to detect the secretion level of IL-6 by Elisa kit.
