Objective: To evaluate the surgical effects of pars plana vitrectomy combined other surgeries for proliferative diabetic retinophaty (PDR). Methods: Forty-one cases (48 eyes) with PDR were operated in vitrectomy combined with retinal photocoagulation, stripping of membrane, silicon oil filling, exchange of gas and fluid, intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection. Results: All of the cases were performed vitrectomy successfully. The final visual acuity got improved in 41 eyes (85.41). The final visual unchanged in 4 eyes (8.33%).The final visual acuity decreased in 3 eyes (6.25%). The patients were followed up for 1 -24 months after surgery. A 11 of the cases were not retinal detached after operation and complemented retinal photocoagulation, diabetic retinophaty were controlled. Conclusion: Vitrecomy combined with retinal photocoagulation, stripping of membrane, silicon oil filling, exchange of gas and fluid, intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide injection surgeries is an effective treatment for PDR.
