Objective: The morbidity of prostate carcinoma is very high in Europe and America, and the mortality caused by prostate carcinoma is in the second place of the mortality caused by the entire tumor. The morbidity of prostate carcinoma is rising up annually in our country. At the very beginning, withdrawing androgen has a good effect on most of the local infiltration and metastasis prostate carcinoma, and then, the effect will be eliminated, at last, the therapy will be failure. Recently, company with the progress of the mechanism of molecule, gene therapy provides a new way to treat prostate carcinoma. Suicide-gene therapy is a prospective treat method, and herpes simplex virus-thymidine kinase (HSV-tk) gene is used most commonly. The HSV-tk enzyme phosphorylates the prodrug gancyclovir (GCV), and the product can interrupt the DNA replication of the carcinoma cells and lead it to death.However, a major problem of the gene therapies about tumor is that they are lack of tumor target. Therefore, it is urgent for us to find out an effective approach with special tumor-targeting mechanism.
