The Clinical Result Analysis Of Combination Therapy In Laryngeal Preservation Of Hypopharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Objective To evaluate combination therapy clinical result of laryngeal preservation in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.Methods A retrospective review was undertaken of 154 hypopharygenal squamous cell carcinoma cases who were treated at this institute in Department of Head and Neck Surgery from September 1985 to July 2001(1997 UICC stage:â… , 4; â…¡, 18; â…¢,44; â…£, 88). the primary turmor site included pyriform sinus(n=134), posterior pharyngealwall (n=15), post-cricoid(n=5). 116 patients were received preoperative radiotherapy and surgery(R+S). 38 patients were received surgery and postoperative radiotherapy(S+R).
