Objective: The End stage renal disease (ESRD) was one of high incidence disease in our country. At present, renal transplantation was the best method to treatment of ESRD. Because the resources of kidney and financing were very limited, Most of ESRD could not be treated entirely. They had to continue their live relying on maintenance hemodialysis (MHD). While MHD had much of complications, Atherosclerotic complications such as coronary artery disease (CAD) and cerebrovascular disease (CeVD) were a common cause of morbidity and mortality in MHD.Lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] was a independent special plasma lipoprotein. Lp(a) was an independent risk factor of atherogenic molecule formed by the disulfide bridge binding of the highly apolipoprotein(a) [apo(a)] to apoproteinB100 of LDL. The level of Lp(a) was main determined by polymorphic of apo(a)( different repeats of KringleⅣsequence in apo(a) gene). But such as the function of liver, inflammation, glomerular filtration rate (GFR) may affect the concentration of Lp(a) partially. Many investigations had indicated that Lp(a) was increased in MHD patients compared to normal. We analyzed the concentration of Lp(a) and its influencing factors in different apo(a) isoforms MHD patients, in order to clarify the mechanism of increased Lp(a) and find some effective methods to control high Lp(a).Methods: The 66 MHD patients [males:38,females:28,age(mean±SD):54±20] were confirmed ESRD and carried on hemodialysis treatment...
