Objective: The purpose of the study was to assess the clinical application value of N-MID andβ-CTx by bone scan and strontium-89-chloride therapy,including diagnosing bone metastases, detecting bone metastatic spread and judging the response of therapy .Methods: 84 patients with malignancies were involved in this study.Each one was conducted bone scan and measured serum N-MID,β-CTx,25-OH-D,CT and Ca.As determined by bone scan and other imaging methods,26 patients had not bone metastases and 58 patients had bone metastases.According to the extent of disease by method of Soloway,the scan were devided into 4 grades,with 17,12,16and13patients respectly.The relationship between bone turnovers and six effectors and the comparision of bone turnovers among patients with different bone loads were analyzed.9 patients with bone metastases were treated with strontium-89-chloride .Six weeks after the treatment, the 9 patients were conducted bone scan and measured serum N-MID,β-CTx once again .The differences between the before-treatment and after-treatment of the same patient were analyzed.Results:1. According to Logostic analysis ,age and sex had significant correlations with the level of N-MID,β-CTx,while 25-OH-D,CT,Ca and types of primary tumor had no correlations with the level of N-MID,β-CTx.2.β-CTx was significantly greater in patients with than without bone metastases,while N-MID was greater in patients with than without bone metastases,but there were no significant differences.3.
