Purpose:The aim of this study was to evaluate the radiotherapeutic response with 99Tcm-HL91 hypoxia imaging in 20 mice bearing Hca-F25 tumor cells.Materials And Methods: Liver cancer cells(Hca-F25) of 1×106 were subcutaneously inoculated into the armpit of twenty mice. When tumor grew nearly to 1.0 cm, they were used for the experiment. All the mice were divided into the irradiation group and the control group, each group has ten mice. The irradiation group was irradiated at a dose rate of 300MU/min with 6 MV linear accelerator; each irradiation dose was 15Gy. The raised condition of the control group were same with that of the irradiation group, but they weren't irradiated. All the mice were injected intravenously with 0.1ml(37MBq) of 99Tcm-HL91 at before radiotherapy, 3 d and 5 d after radiotherapy. Imaging was carried out 4 hours later. Regions of interest(ROI) were drawn in the tumor and contralateral position, the tumor-to-normal ratio(T/NT) was calculated. Tumor length(A) and maximum vertical diameter(B) were measured before each imaging, including control mice. Tumor volumes(mm3) equals A×B2/2. The change rate of tumor volumes at 3 d and 5 d after radiotherapy were calculated. At the end of the study, blood, muscle, and tumor were obtained. The weight and radioactivity of the blood, muscle, and tumor were measured. The uptake of radioactivity in the blood, muscle, tumor(% injected dose/g tissue[%ID/g]) was obtained. The tumor-to-blood ratio (T/B) and the tumor-to-muscle ratio (T/M) were also calculated. Percent of necrotic area(PNA) was calculated through hematoxylin-...
