Background: Atherosclerosis is characteristic of atheromatous plaque formation in the endarterium of large and medium-sized artery. AS can cause intercellular layer of artery wall weak, lumens stenosis, and form serial complication such as thrombosis, hemorrhage, ulcer, aneurysm. Eventually result in coronary heart diease and apoplexy, severely threatened the people health .The control study of autopsy and angiography find that 70 % of myocardial infarction happened in the coronary arter when the degree of stenosis less than 50%. Unstable plaque rupture and sequent thrombosis are the main reason to acute coronary syndrome. Preventing thrombosis and maintaining the stability of plague play an important role in the treatment of AS. Pathology trait of unstable plague include: ecto-lipid pool, weakness of fiberous cap, macrophage full of lipid at the boundary between normal endarterium and plague, deposition and clearance of lipid, Inflammatory trauma and recovery, hyperplasia and degradation of matrix, which run through the whole process of occurrence, development, remodeling, and influence the bionomics and natural progression.MMPs participate in the reconstitution of vessel and stability of plague , meanwhile MMPs determine the thickness of fiber cap and content of collagen. Among the total , MMP-2 is much concerned. MMP-2 expressed in smooth muscle cell or leucocyte degrade the composition of collagen and matrix. Normally, smooth muscle cell is situated in intercellular layer, surrounded by matrix . smooth muscle cell connectting with matrix could be kept in contraction-genotype form, and be restricted...
