AIM: Bacteria resistance is a common problem in clinical therapy, which caused big difficulty in controlling infection. Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus(MRSA) is a common resistant bacteria, once the bacteria is resistant to methicillin, it will be resistant to all P-lactams antibiotics. So it is important to make MRSA sensitive to P-lactams antibiotics again. It is believed that resistance owing to synthesis new PBP2a protein and P-lactamase, they are encoded by mecA and blaZ. MecRl/MecI regulates mecA, while BlaR1/BlaI regulates blaZ. Antisense drugs can combine to targeted gene selectively and block the expression of gene, then have effect on therapy.
