Effect Of Intravenous Diltiazem On Intracardiac Electrophysiologic Parameters In Human Bings

Objective To evaluate the effect of intravenous diltiazem on cardiac electrophysiolgic parameters in superventricular tachycardia patients.Methods Thirty-eight volunteers with superventricular tachycardia after successful radiofrequence catheter ablation were administered. A loading dosage of 10mg diltiaem was given intravenously followed by the dosage of 3μg.kg^-1.min^-1 infusion continuously. After 30 minites of intravenous diltiazem, right ventricular and atrial effective refractory period(ERP) in multiple sites were measured with S1S2 programmed electrical stimulation, including the high right atrium(HRA),the low right atrium(LRA),the left atrium(LA),ostium of coronary sinus(OC) and the atrioventricular(AV) node.
