Background and objectivesThe motion abnormalities in isovolumic relaxation period can early reflect functional change of ischemic myocardium of coronary artery disease (CAD). Strain rate imaging (SRI) can be used to detect myocardial deformation of unit time with high spatial and time resolution. It can reflect regional myocardial function in isovolumic relaxation period precisely and is important in early diagnosis and curative-effect evaluation of CAD. Now, the clinical research of evaluating CAD with different extent of myocardial ischemia by SRI is rare. The objectives of this study are as follows: (1) to investigate longitudinal SR characteristics of left ventricular wall in isovolumic relaxation period in normal persons.
