Part One Clinical study on the value of contrast ultrasongraphy in uterine leiomyoma before high intensity focused ultrasound treatmentObjective To investigate the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography, including images and time intensity curves, on uterine leiomyoma before HIFU treatment. Methods Two hundred patients with uterine leiomyomas and 29 with endometrioma were treated by HIFU. Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography were, performed before and 2~5 days after HIFU treatment. After HIFU therapy, uterine leiomyoma in 17 patients still perfused by contrast agent microbubbles were classified into group I, and 34 patients were brought into group II in other 183 uterine leiomyoma patients without microbubbles perfusion. 51 patients with uterine leiomyomas and 29 with endometrioma were enrolled in our study and all the patients were confirmed by operation or ultrasound-guided needle puncture biopsy. The contrast-enhanced images before HIFU treatment of uterine leiomyoma in group I were compared with those in group II. The time intensity curve were acquired and analyzed by software, including Q-Lab and Image-Lab2.0, in rising period time, beginning...
