Analysis Of 36 Cases Of Cervical Lymph Node Metastasis In Supraglottic Carcinoma

ObjectivesTo summarize the correlation between cervical lymph node metastasis in supraglottic carcinoma with the tumor differentiation grade and clinical stages.MethodsThirty-six cases with supraglottic carcinoma were treated by surgery in the department of otolaryngology, the first affiliated hospital, Henan university of scientific and technology from 1996 to 2000.The parameters affecting cervical lymph node metastasis were analyzed retrospectively.Results1. The rate of cervical lymph node metastasis with supraglottic carcinoma was 47.22%.2. The tumor differentiation was correlated with cervical lymph node metastasis with supraglottic carcinoma. The cervical lymph node metastasis rate in poor differentiated of tumor was 71.43%, and 25.00% in the well differentiated. There was significant difference (P<0.05); The 5-year survival rates were 42.86%, 87.50% for poor and well differentiated respectively, the difference was also significant(P<0.05).3.
