Background and ObjectiveMyocardial infarction(MI) is a common disease and a leading causes of mortality and morbidity.By the development of Chinese people's living conditions, the attack rate of MI increases step by step.Despite applications of revascularization by thrombolysis, angioplasty,or surgery et al which can improve the bypass circulation and protect heart function leading to the decrease of MI death rate in the acute stage, the cardiomyocytes lost during MI cannot be regenerated. Absence of functional myocytes and remodeling of the LV after MI represent major causes of infarct related heart failure and death.Cardiac transplantation which has become the standard treatment for the ending stage patients of congestive heart failure can not be used widely because of scarcity of donor hearts and the immunorejection. It is urgent to find a new therapy for MI patients.Cellular therapy has been a new strategy to many tissue necrituc diseases. By transplanted, functional cells can substitute, repair and strengthen the biologic function of tissues or organs.Cellular transplantation and myocardial regeneration...
