Hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) is an important transcription factor found in the begining of 1990's, which could combine with the hypoxia response elements (HRE) in the gene of EPO to induce the transcription of HIF-1. HIF-1 is made up of two subunits: a and β, HIF-la is a regulating subunit: hypoxia can regulates its stability, subcellular orientation ,and the function of transcription. it was found that HIF-la is wide and high expressed in various malignant carcinoma, and activated HIF-1α plays an important role in metabolism ,blood vessel rebulild, carcinogenesis. suppress apoptosis and metastasis. So it may be helpful in early diagnosis and evaluating Prognosis of malignant carcinoma. P33ING1 (inhibitor of growth 1)is a potential tumor suppressor which cooperates with P53 in the structure and function, facilitates cell apoptosis and restricts cell growth. It was investigated that over-expression of P33ING1 could promote apoptosis induced by lack of serum ,and transfection antisense RNA could suppress apoptosis induced by lack of serum. Are they cooperation in esophageal carcinogenesis and metastasis? Little studies have been undertaken on the expression of HIF-1 αand P33ING1 in esophageal carcinoma tissues and regulation and interactive mechanisms . In this study, the expressions of HIF-la and P33ING1 were detected in esophageal cancer tissue and esophageal cancer cell line Eca109, Eca9706 by immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry; and we investigated the relationship between expressions of...
