【Objective】:To discuss the reliability of serum total homocysteine (total Homocysteine,tHcy) as a tumor maker in bone neoplasm and to learn the value of monitoring serum tHcy level during recurrent and metastasis in malignant bone neoplasm【.Methods】:①We randomly selected 35 patients, and divided them into 3 groups. Group A:10 patients with benign bone neoplasm, Group B:15 patients with malignant bone neoplasm (without clinical recurrent and metastasis) and Group C:10 patients with recurrent of malignant bone neoplasm and metastasis bone neoplasm (include primary malignant bone neoplasm with recurrent and/or metastasis and metastatic bone neoplasm from other locus proofed by X-ray and/or emission computer tomography ).And we measured serum tHcy concentration by High Performance Liquid Chromatography, while measurement of activity of serum alkaline phosphatases(ALP/AKP) and calcium concentration before therapy and after therapy.②Correspondingly, we measured serum tHcy concentration, activity of serum alkaline phosphatases and calcium concentration with the same processes in 20 healthy adults as a control group.③Analyze the final data with the SPSS software.【Results】:①The...
