Objective To detect the developing change of serum Fatty acid binding proteins(FABPs) with acute cerebral infarct and their clinical significance ,then to identify its use for the early diagnosis, treatments and prognostic.Method We selected 95 cases of cerebral infarct, diagnosed by clinical data, CT and/or MRI, as experiment group and 50 healthy people matching the experiment group but without stroke and its relation diseases as controls in our hospital from March,2005 to December,2005. All the people in both groups were determined sera levels of FABP, neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and S100 protein B (S100B),respectively, by enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay(ELISA) and ruled out the possibility of acute myocardial infarction(AMI) by dynamic electrocardiogram and the determination of serum troponin-1 or creatine kinase-MB(CK-MB). The relationship was analyzed between the serum concentration of FABP and the onset of cerebral infarct, the location and the distribution of cerebral infarct in the brain or the severity of neurological event.Results1.The levels of FABP,NSE and S100B in patient group were greatly...
