BackgroundAtherosclerosis is a pathological remodeling process in the systemic arterial wall. It forms the basis for most cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, stroke and peripheral artery disease. Its pathogenesis is not completely understood. Accumulating evidence supports that atherosclerosis is caused by multiple factors. Chronic inflammation has received increasing attention in recent years as a cause of atherosclerosis. As we have known, many inflammatory mediators can induce Monocyte, macrophage, smooth muscle cell and vascular endothelial cell to overexpress TF. TF acts as an initiator in exogenous coagulation pathway and plays a key role in coagulation and thrombosis, but we are not clear whether and how TF mediate inflammatory factors release, that is to say, whether there is interaction between TF and inflammatory factors. So it is very significant to investigate whether TF participates in the development and progression of atherosclerosis. Objective Cell ELISA and reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction...
