Results The ratio of male to female in the experimented group and the controlled was 1.7:1 and 1.9:1(X~2=0.26,P>0.05),and the mean age in the two groups 28.06±7.74 ys and 42.36±8.23 ys respectively(μ=23.10, P<0.001),while patients aged 21~40 contained 73.3% and 38.1%( X~2=117.66, P<0.005).There was no statistical difference in seasons when they were diagnosised properly(X~2=2.06, P> 0.05).As for education background ,those who were undergraduated senior-middle-school catched 96.53% and 83.81% respectively(X~2= 19.25, P<0.005).The number of typical TB cases was 182 and 185,and the type Ⅲ pulmonary tuberculosis cases was 186 and 185(X~2=1.81, P > 0.05),which showed no statistical difference between the two groups. The smear-positive ratio was 41.3% and 30.7%( X~2=4.60, P<0.05).The time of mis-diagnosed was 56.2±12.5 days and 31.4±9.8 days(μ=22.35, P<0.001).There were 127 cases had TB in both sides of lung in the studied group, while 92 cases in the other group. All of those showed statistical difference between the two groups, and the same results came out in the fields of the diseased-lung. while for pathologic effusion changes no statistical difference were showed in the two groups. Conclusions The epidemiological characteristics of these new pulmonary tuberculosis in migratory labourers were as fellow.
