Objective: The type II diabetes is a disease of multi-causes, the complication can involve the systems all over the body. The physical and mental health of patients will be serious affected if long-term with disease. In recent years, the prevalence of the type II diabetes showed rising tendency in China, it has been one of the main chronic diseases which serious harm people health. With the revolution and development of Chinese higher education, the high schools are enlarging recruit students, the tasks just as the teaching, researching and management responsible by the teachers and employees are increasing heavy, the competition is intensifying, therefore, the prevalence of the disease is also showing an ascending manner in the teachers and employees in high schools. Nowadays, no radical cure is pertinent to the disease, but controlled by the medicine and clinic treatment. The emphasis of the third degree intervention of the type II diabetes is included of elevating the patients' medical knowledge level, synthesize intervention the main factors influenced the patients' quality of life, improving the patients' quality of life, prolonging the patients' longevity. However, most reports about the quality of life of patients with type II diabetes as well as the influenced factors were conducted in common communities in recent years; few reports were conducted in teachers and employees in high schools. The teachers and employees in high schools is a special group in the whole society, they have stable income, higher life and education level, wider information source, better receptive ability, relatively more knowledge of medical science and health protection, better therapy compliance, and can be a succeeding intervention group.
