Methods: Summarized the cognitions of the cause of the disease, Syndrome Differentiation of DM by TCM, the dissertations of DM by modern medicine, the relationship between the QOL and TCM and the QOL applied in TCM. 184 in-patients and out-patients corresponded with diagnosis criterion, take in criterion and exclude criterion are studied. Divided them into five groups that included Excess of Yang Leading to Yin Deficiency, Deficiency of Both Qi and Yin, Deficiency of Both Yin and Yang, Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis. All patients adopted unified Chinese edition of sheet of quality of life the health measure list SF-36. The data were input in SPSS10.0 and analyzing by using one way ANOVA, Spearman correlation and multivariable stepwise regression. Results: The grades of QOL of type 2 diabetics are low. The general average score is 63.64. The grade of the total health is lowest (42.21+20.91), follow by role-physical (49.32+39.33), role-emotional (56.89+40. 05) and vitality (64.57+19.15). The grade of the syndrome of Deficiency of Both Yin and Yang is the lowest among the four syndromes. The grades of other three syndromes have no differences. There is different emphasis of QOL lesion with different syndrome. The outcomes of correlation declare both biological and social factors are obvious significance. The influential factors of QOL mainly include age, course of disease, record of formal schooling, recognition, HbAl, total cholesterol and so on. Influential factors of different syndrome are different in each aspect. The outcomesof multivariable stepwise regression declare the course of disease, occupation, exercise, record of formal schooling are included.Conclusion:1. The grades of QOL of type 2 diabetics are low. The grade of the total health is lowest, follow by role-physical, role-emotional and vitality .2. The grade of the syndrome of Deficiency of Both Yin and Yang is the lowest among the four syndromes. The grades of other three syndromes have no differences. There is different emphasis of QOL lesion with different syndrome.3. The outcomes of correlation and regression declare exercise, record of formal schooling and cause of disease are the mainly influential factors. So the key to the improvement of the QOL of type 2 diabetics is utility treatments form many-sided.4. Influential factors of different syndrome are different. Adopting the aimed treatment can improve the curative effect of TCM by treatment based on syndrome.
